With broad dark green leaves and thick stems, green sorrel are triangular in shape. It is sour and slightly astringent due to the high levels of oxalic acid present in the plant. It is an year-round plant grown in sub-tropical climates, peak season being the Summer. The herb reaches to a height of 8-12'' with long and flavorful leaves. Needs full sun, moist and fertile soil.
